I used to hang out in other communities, on 4chan and even in relatively normal Second Life back then.
While pony was basically everywhere in the very early G4 days, around the mid 2010s I've heard tons of literal diaper shit happening related to SL MLP which disgusted me so much that I wasn't even curious to check SL pony out in the first place. I bet a ton other people must have felt similarly so they never gave it a try. This was even disgusted multiple times on /mlp/ and back then SL threads even got flat out banned and shot down on sight. That's why I was really surprised when years later the threads suddenly had such a comeback with popens and actually didn't get deleted anymore.

Why put yourself through this pain? Just grab a decent video player that can skip 1 frame at a time forwards/backwards and then extract that frame.
MPC-HC can do this by default just ctrl+left/right arrow keys. MPV can do it too by pressing , and .
You should be using either of those video players either way btw, incase you're using something like default Windows video player, preferably MPV if you want something lightweight and super fast, but it's more work to tinker with.
Also if you screenshot a lot, consider getting ShareX if you don't already have it, literally the best screenshotting tool out there and has other features besides screenshotting and is completely free, open source and relatively lightweight.
I have 104GB of screenshots with it lmao. It's a lifesaver. Just bind its region capture to your Print Screen button.
Also for filenaming, I recommend %pn %y%mo%d-%h%mi%s Makes it much easier to find later aswell as lets you know when it was taken.
