Just fell down the Discordianism rabbit hole. Turns out it's basically just late-pagan Platonic Hellenism, specifically invoking Iris, repackaged for the postmodern era.The problem is that Hill & Thornley's epistemology is completely braindead. They insist that everything is entirely relative and all truths are fake, yet they demand you take their own metaphysics seriously (like the "Rule of 5"). Whenever someone points out the obvious contradiction, they cop out with the "lol it's just a joke/spoof religion" defense.
