She returned after a break, didn't claim the top spots, and felt normal. At the World Championships in the USA, everyone was rooting for Amber, but things didn't go well for her, while Alysa managed to perform everything cleanly. And they just pushed her to the first place, like putting a owl on a globe. Throughout the whole year, they keep pushing her, giving her high scores for components and everything else, which would never have happened if Amber had won the World Championship title a year ago.She's a decent athlete, but she doesn't have the sweeping powerful skating like Kaori, nor the ultra-synchro like Amber, and they don't even push her for "years of service". She's just an average good athlete, no different from many others (except for having one difficult combination), and I'm talking about girls from different countries, let alone our own. Any second-place finisher from our country would outperform her, but they're making her some kind of star out of nothing, even though she doesn't win and doesn't stand out compared to others.
