I don't know why I didn't play the dev's other games.2) Snoot Game - another 4chan VN that pulls off a serious romance pretty well and is reasonably entertaining. I didn't like Wani Gator though.3) Perfect Pitch - only other Koikatsu VN I have liked. The music scenes and animated comedy sequences are kino, romance and everything else is cringeworthy,4) Superhuman - Very gigakino fights. There's a number of VNs with cool fight scenes but Superhuman strikes a rare middle ground for me where it's both over-the-top BUT also well-thought-out instead of just power scaling. Most fight scenes have a bunch of choices to kind of "test" your awareness, it's nothing serious but I found it really fun to read. The fetish stuff ranges from disgusting to horrifying and the art is butt fucking ugly, though.5) I don't like Eternum at all but other people do so I'll include it out of magnanimity. 6) Aurora Memoria - a relatively short one but incredibly sick visual style and banger OST. Randomly has some of the best prose in EVNs thanks to being written by a publisher journalist, I don't know how they ended up on the team.7) Corru Observer - barely a VN but it's on VNDB so hey. Homestuck-inspired genre-bending work with pretty intriguing worldbuilding and neat dialogue. Forever unfinished though and very tumblr-coded. It asks you if you're OK with seeing a spider before having a spider visual.

Then in the midgame your party starts getting proper skills and strategy builds online and the enemies start melting in a completely different fashion. This happens in 2U, too. My best guess for why 2U has this reputation is that people simply parrot some single fag's opinion from years ago when the game was new and being figured out, or some statistical outlier is in play where a majority of the 4chan-posting playerbase picked absolute garbage parties for Classic mode and didn't realise it was their mistake rather than the game's.
