I've seen this flawed notion around here that consumers will begin to respect the use of AI generated art once the technology has become more commonplace. Seems legit, we all know that nobody gets excited for a technology when it's new and startling- we only start to get excited with it once it's become old and mundane.Please. I recently dined at this kitschy tourist restaurant while visiting the midwest. On the wall they had a huge AI generated picture of a cow sitting on a toilet. Kind of undermining your epic anime Tomboy OC you developed with the same tech. This is what people associate AI with- a technology that allows any retarded boomer to, with zero effort, conjure up any half-baked idea that flits through their head for a second. AI is stuffed down our throats everywhere we go. Small family-run restaurants use it in their menus when they're too lazy to take pictures of their own fucking food. Everywhere we go we are trained to associate AI with laziness, cheapness, low-rent, low effort. People play video games to get away from that. They don't want to be reminded of the AI generated banners pinned up in the fly-shit-stained windows of their local shawarma restaurant when they're trying to get immersed in a sci-fi world.Anyone who wants to seethe at me, I didn't force consumers to dislike AI usage.
