They randomly cycle these annoyances through different IP ranges to boost 4chan passes.Really think about some of these captchas, too. A square box with two lines or a square box with three lines. Do you really think that would fool a computer before a human that's trying to blast through shit so he can post something? The verification is just purposely annoying for humans. It knows you're a human already as soon as you hit "get captcha" and then it's just busywork to annoy you into buying a pass.
