'member .hta's? those were fun.

kinda like electron, if you throw away any semblance of security. it's basically an html file except when run as an .hta IE treats it as a trusted local application... with full filesystem access. many people were tricked into running them.

in fact an .hta was involved in the lead up to 4chan getting a captcha for the first time, i was there for it. you could make 4chan posts from an .hta, automatically

You need to rename all the files so they don't have 4chan save filenames if you want to be serious about your larp

apparently its because the IP on my phone is blocked by recaptcha. so yes a 4chan pass would bypass it since you dont need to do the captcha

Ahhh I was wondering why it didn't seem to be doing the thing... but yes seems to work now!
Thank you again by the way, I am a little paranoid about the whole anonymity thing so this update is quite appreciated.

Also I honestly didn't realize you could select multiple options on the poll; I voted for the animal emojis but was conflicted between those and the Hogwarts Legacy styled crests (they're a little less legible but I like how they look) and would've picked both if I realized, so for what it's worth the latter should've won by 1 point. Not that it really matters since it's so easy to change but still.

It wasn't working for me but I use another userscript called 4chan X (which I highly recommend if you don't know of it by the way, it's really nice), so I thought maybe it wasn't compatible with either 4chan X itself, or that script's Quick Reply feature and was trying it both with the entire userscript disabled and with just Quick Reply disabled... but turns out it was just what Install Wizard said about it not having updated properly and after getting the new version it seems to be fully compatible after all thankfully.

I don't think it works as well if you change anyone except Malfoy; it has to be just her. Although admittedly Ginny fits weirdly into the whole thing... I guess she and Harry could still like each other and Malfoid is jealous, but I think it's probably better if instead the slight ship tease between Harry and Hermione is leaned into more heavily so Malfoid can be jealous of her instead since they're already antagonistic to each other anyway, and then Ginny gets sidelined a lot more and just gets paired off with some other boy instead.

I wonder how genderswapping Draco would affect the relationship with Myrtle... I feel like they'd still be friends or confidants but perhaps a little differently?
