Should a fangame have a protagonist that resembles the tone of the original game's protag? If the base game has a silent player character, should the fangame replicate that? Or would it be good to try to expand the idea by giving the character a more defined personality? Would that be seen as too much of a departure from the base game? Even if the game's official sequel does try to do something new with the main character?
