The Tibetan Empire was relatively short-lived and collapsed and while it's interesting to read about the majority of it's time during the middle ages was spent dealing with internal issues until the mongols came along and even then you'll be spending time reading about Buddhist disciples and diplomatic relationships between Khans and local rulers and political manoeuvres that won't make sense unless you have some cultural understanding. It's not something you that you can cover in a couple 4chan posts and it's not something that has broad appeal unless you're into religious history.
