Hey SRG, figured I'd share my journey. Maybe someone will get something out of it.For some context, I'm 21, was addicted since I was 15. Started off as 1-2 times a week but soon got bad, like was doing it every other day for a while. A few months ago I resolved to quit. Would get to a week, two weeks, it took a while to get the hang of it. All part of the learning process though.Anyway I'm currently at a month in. And I do feel good. More energy, confidence, and am less affected by things. Daily stressors just no longer get to me. And I feel generally stronger in spirit and more proud of myself. I absolutely don't regret doing it.Now, as for the interesting part, I've heard a lot of people say that being on SR improved their social/dating life. For me, I've actually felt the opposite. Feels like both men and women, ignore me more often now. I feel weirdly invisible to people. It's quite possible I'm just imagining things and it's not the case, but I definitely do not get any more attention than I used to. Like in the past if I hadn't seen someone for a while and happened to run into them at an event, they'd be excited to see me. Now I feel ignored. And I've definitely not seen any success with women. Have not experienced any new female attention whatsoever. (and in b4 someone says it's because I'm the sort of freak who uses 4Chan, I can pose as normie-ish and have gotten plenty of dates in the past with normal girls before.)As a final stupid note there was a girl who I was friends with and had a longstanding crush on and was hoping that reconnecting with her while on SR could change things. Was at an event tonight that she happened to be at and I got completely ignored.Right now I'm kinda reeling from all of that, SR is harder when you feel so isolated. Plus I'm dealing with a bad urge wave that I've been fighting since Friday, and I feel close to breaking. Could really use some encouragement because idk if I have much more in me to keep going.
