Anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to click on the thread, it goes away after a few hours, and no one will ever hold them to account for anything they say in those threads.No other website can offer quite the same experience.And they don't use /trash/, specifically because they rely on just skirting inside the rules of /v/ to keep their threads civil and organized.
