Turned 39 on 4Chan's birthday. Just landed a great job with a global company in one of the highest-paying roles they have to offer. However . . . I have been my own biggest obstacle since I became an adult. I have been drinking, I have picked up meth and forced myself to quit, I have been charitable and forgiving with people I shouldn't have, and I have faced the consequences for it all over and over again. The pay rate I'm at just resets me back to what I was making at the end of 2023. It's still a lot, but I could have been much better off had I not made the mistake of trusting an evil whore. I self-destructed to make sure she paid, moved across the country, and started over from the streets. Not good.
I just left a different workplace situation where I sacrificed people I liked to get to people who were trying to cut my throat, since they didn't expect me to do something like that. Fuck every last one of them. I choose me. They can get fucked whether it's their fault or not. They're currently dealing with an HR nightmare many of them will not come out of with their jobs intact and idgaf. Got kids to feed? Tough shit. Got bills? Tough shit. Got a car note? Tough shit. Turns out they were all fucking cockroaches in the end, regardless, so I feel pretty good about what I did.
I age well. Better than most men. Not that I don't feel my age, because I do, but it's nice to not look any older than 28 at this point. Helps in a lot of situations. I've got a cool cat, smart boy. He'll be a year old November 2. Thinking about getting him a meat cake. I can afford it now.
Life hasn't turned out the way I expected, no, but I've learned to navigate it alone, and to do it alone you've got to have ice water in your veins. Be prepared to throw anyone under the bus at a moment's notice, and do it before they do it to you, because goddamnit they will. Ignore foids, stack bread, utterly fucking destroy anyone or anything threatening your peace with extreme prejudice.
