This is the main question, for me. I get that 4chan only gets worse with time, but whenever I poke my head out to look at other websites they're infinitely worse than this shithole. I just can't fathom why anyone would actively choose to spend their time on xitter.

Xitter is fucking horrible to use. The search doesn't work. How do you find topics you're interested in? Do you just pray it shows up on your feed? And then you can't even write out long posts. Xitter honestly feels so terrible to use for discussion. 4chan is much better due to the centralized nature of the boards. Hell, even reddit or hackernews are better.

Like it or not, you have to use twitter now. you can bitch about the screencaps all you want but there's a reason they get posted so much, and no, its not le third world shills or whatever nonsense you're convinced it is. Its because thats literally where everyone is, and where everything relevant on the internet happens. Plus its the only place on the mainstream internet thats a good combination of an active userbase, not being cucked by terrible moderation done by ineffective retards or biased liberal faggots, and having actual effective tools to filter out garbage. Guess what 4chan fails at, all three of those things. The last one especially can really never be solved because of how posting here works with being IP based and anonymous. filters alone arent enough and its just too easy to ban evade or whatever and you'll never ever be free of someone determined to shit up your thread. On twitter its just a few clicks to block and mute and the site is infinitely more usable. And if you're lucky you can find some like minded cool people to make a discord or something with, and really thats the end goal, just finding a small group to hang out with while ignoring every other retard online
