Smug was a decent circa 2013ish /a/ clone, but I don't like anime anymore so I don't have much of a reason to browse. There are smaller, way slower ones like sushi, but they're so slow they're basically unusable. There are many 7-8 year old threads there. I've been mostly browsing 4/g/ and /v/ for the last few years, so lainchan seemed like a decent option. But then I realized most of its users are extremely gay and annoying psueds, and that most of the threads are boring or about LE DRUGS........The sh_rty is off limits for me. I explored the new 8 somewhat during the hack, but it seems more like an activist site and frankly I prefer how toothless 4chan has gotten. I don't want to be on an activist site. There's /ghost/ I guess, but I'm not sure if it's even around anymore. Also mostly /a/.There are probably newer ones I'm not aware of since I haven't looked since the hack. The thing all of them are missing is the chaos and funny stupidity of 4chan. People always say this site has gotten worse, and in a lot of ways it has, but to me it's still the least worst site of them all. It's the only site that regularly makes me laugh. I'm a simpleton with the humor of a permanent 15 year old in 2006, so maybe that helps. Anyway, I guess my main point is that I looked everywhere else and still came back to 4chan. It is what it is.
