the reality is the internet has been centralised, your altchans/onion chans are not going to have the traffic of 4chan (though obviously fewer shills/bots) which is part of the appeal, and other forums are too niche
4chan is really the only place of its kind with enough traffic to be meaningful, with it gone everywhere is basically the same
