I feel like the amount of Pokemon OCs went up after the Mystery Dungeon games specifically, up until then Pokemon weren't portrayed with as much personality, but after that people started viewing them differently. And then Nintendo leans away from what with some games, and into it with others (Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu, etc.)Anyway I have a few, here's the one that shows up most often nowadays, in a... different part of 4chan, with inspiration from both those games.
