Hinduism encourages you to find your own spiritual path which means that you choose your deity or deities (or lack of deities) and how you want to worship them. In a population of billions, this leads to some nutters choosing to worship the oddest things and of course those things go viral. Add the selection bias of people on 4chan and if you get all your India news from on here then you'd get a very distorted picture.

Psychologically speaking, it's because the average 4channer is absolutely starved for socialization. At some point they will lose interest in the topic but get attached to belonging to a "community" of anons.
It operates from their inferior/shadow side, which very often will include extraversion, feeling, and most likely sensation. Even the man himself seems to suggest that this combination would be the one more interested in socialfagging. Since it's undifferentiated still, it is very petty and thus ends up focusing especially on the "drama" aspects rather than the more positive aspects of socialization, everyone is overly sensitive and has hurt feelings about something or somebody while pretending they aren't.

In terms of dynamics, it's usually the fault of whoever attempts to establish a Discord or a community gathering place of some sort. Even a MC server would count.
This kind of thing goes very explicitly against the spirit of the website, as it turns an anonymous forum into one where suddenly identityfagging matters more than the average user forum, and makes it especially unwelcoming to lurkers or people who don't wish to play along.
4channers like to throw around words such as "circlejerk" and "clique" a lot, but it's exactly what they established every single time - calling out their own shadow fittingly enough, like the Twitterfag who annoys lolichads only to get exposed as the actual pedophile IRL.

I don't even like talking to people, but how is this not the obvious best option? Anyone afraid of discord is clueless. I am extremely socially awkward and have never had a problem with discord.
