Rich fags think only through their immediate interests. They are totally unable to consider the fact that the instability and economic depression which will result from prolonged labor abstinence is going to end up costing them more over the long run than it would cost them to give up a little bit to provide for the health of our overall society. In their minds, there largely IS no collective society -- there is only them, their immediate sphere, their own narrow interests, and what they can extract from the rest of us. Like Peter Thiel said, capitalism and democracy are incompatible. The predicate of democracy is that enough people care enough about the collective project to participate in good faith. The predicate of capitalism is that everyone is only in it for themselves at all costs. Money is a powerful enough abstraction that it's impossible for a democracy to remain uncorrupted by it for long. It'll find a way in eventually.
