It wouldn't be accurate to claim my sarcastic commentary on that phenom is the "why". I think TE's unbridled hostility going unchecked for so long and causing me and quite a few of the other "Class of 2019" regulars to leave for a while (some still haven't returned or not for anything but a check-in) to leave was what really set the precedent.
Afaik, aside from ISFP Sophie Hater's vendetta and my relatively brief Rxy confrontation arc, there wasn't anything like this. Not until my disclosure of INFPrince's abuse and cheating caused Prince fans, Rxy fans, general Anons annoyed by the conflict claiming it was "airing dirty laundry" or "bringing irl matters into 4chan" when I couldn't go a damn post without constant dogwhistling and instigation a la "Ha~haaa, if you defend yourself a little bit everyone will just ascribe to my narrative that you're a jealous, reactive schizo. And if you defend yourself fully, you'll be doxxing yourself AND betraying the privacy of multiple other posters/people you care about!" all to dogpile. Shutting down a desperate, larping, [more personal details in insult form I don't feel like disseminating or posting receipts for again] *bleep* *bleep* *bleepity BLEEEEEEEP* didn't seem outside the bounds of reason. But I do feel remorseful for the way things got out of hand, even if past that point things were out of mine. I do acknowledge my ability --anyone's ability-- to influence things here, despite the Anon from yesterday's hyperbolic paraphrasing.

I have to be honest, I am getting really annoyed by the vocal minority that is the VT2 fan-base. It was a great game at the time but it had a ton of issues and I never really got hooked like I did with Darktide.

Darktide has its fair share of issues too but the core gameplay of Darktide is such a massive improvement I cannot go back to VT2 at all. They seriously dropped the best co-op FPS/Melee game since L4D2.

I would also argue Darktide is way more immersive, has more detail, and oddly I find darktide has more soul but hipsters on 4chan will screech if you say that.
