The point I am making is that it is not possible to post under a new IP on your 4chan pass by accident. You cannot unknowingly re-authenticate your pass to a fresh IP because the whole process is done manually.

Pass users can decide to post using their pass + a VPN but if you're signed into a pass on your normal home IP address and then turn your VPN on, your pass doesn't 'carry over' to the VPN IP without fresh authentication.

The poster I quoted submitted a lie saying that he "forgot to turn off his VPN" thus was appearing as a Canada flag. The way this situation would actually play out is if you forgot to turn off your VPN then you wouldn't be able to post with your pass unless you re-authenticated, which needs to be done manually. Thus making it impossible to have "forgetting to turn off my VPN" as a plausible explanation for appearing under a VPN flag.

It's still has a good variety of stories. 4chan might appreciate the one about a woman who leaves his midget husband and kids for a guy doing life in prison, because she once saw him in a dream as a teen and vowed to wait for him and marry him.
